Self-Lock Scaffolding
Description
These towers use interlocking frames and are built in height increments of 0.9m.
They are light and can be erected by two workers in a short time.
They can also be used in mobile form in conjunction with castors.
Maximum free standing heights allowed are based on maximum base to height ratio:
- Inside static towers: 3.5 x maximum base dimension
- Inside mobile towers: 3.5 x maximum base dimension
- Outside static towers: 3 x maximum base dimension
- Outside mobile towers: 4 x maximum base dimension
When the safe base to height ratios are exceeded, or there are high
lateral or vertical loads, the tower must be secured to an adjacent structure.
Maximum height when secured is 12.6m and both sides of the tower need to be tied in.
Vertical spacing of the ties must not exceed three times the width of the tower.
Standard base sizes available
1.5m x 1.5m
2.0m x 2.0m
3.0m x 3.0m
